My PhD research is aimed at understanding the underlying mechanisms in resistance to pharmacotherapy among patients with epilepsy. Our hypothesis is that it is the epileptic seizures and/or the antiepileptic drugs themselves that contribute to this phenomenon, and we utilize in vivo and biochemical tools to test it.

Research aside, I believe that preserving the Earth is a crucial aspect of our everyday lives, and I believe that environmental awareness and protection of nature are critical aspects of a well-functioning modern society. I hope that both the increased awareness and the knowledge provided will strengthen - and in some cases create – the motivation to protect the environment and save our natural resources, while bringing upon a change in our everyday behavior and consumption habits. In order to promote these objectives, I volunteer at the Society for the Preservation of Israel, where I provide assistance with analyzing environmental-related surveys. I also volunteer at Greenpeace, where I assist with conducting research on transportation-related air pollution, which may hopefully reach high authorities and generate a legislative impact.
